What people in the know say about us

Australian Dirt Bike Magazine
Geoff Eldridge

“For the ISDE I replaced the alloy KTM rear sprocket with a steel Chain Gang sprocket because Chain Gang products last for-ever!
I chose these products because I honestly liked and trusted each one of them.”

Australian Dirt Bike Magazine
Tony Kirby - Editor

"How does 15,000km from a rear sprocket sound?
The thing continues to amaze us ...
sand, mud, sustained high speed, numerous enduros, and still it shows no sign of wear.
Heck the paint hasn't even been knocked off it."

Sidetrack Magazine

"There is only one choice for the long distance rider in Australia; The Chain Gang.
We’ve had 32,000ks from a Chain Gang rear sprocket and it had chopped a flogging on an XR600."

Honda’s 2001 Australian Safari Campaign
Australian Dirt Bike Magazine

"When you head out to the Safari, you’ll see a lot of Chain Gang sprockets - at least on the bikes of blokes who know what they’re doing!  Why? They are the only rear sprockets on the market that will last the entire Safari in good shape. They’re made from a special heat treated metal and will last forever without knackering the chain.
Fitted to the wheels of the most advanced XR650’s and being put to the test by the 2001 Honda team riders; Stephen Greenfield, Peter McDonald, Daryl Beattie, Glen Hoffman and Andy Wigan - some of the greatest Safari competitors today."

Special Tested: Chain Gang Sprockets
Lyndon Heffernan -Australian Dirt Bike

"Would you like a chain and sprocket set to last at least a season of abuse? Then Australia’s own Chain Gang has the product for you.We torture tested a chain gang O’ring chain and two steel sprockets for eight months on my YZ 250 and were impressed. Over that period we encounted lots of wet races and plenty of other high wear situations yet after that time the sprockets were still in race ready condition!
The chain only required about four adjustments through this period and was only oiled once per ride (which is about as often as anyone can remember to oil it) yet the wear characteristics were great. Are there any down sides to Chain Gang’s gear?
The sprocket weighs a little more than an aluminium item, but would outlast the best of them ten to one. With that sort of cost efficiency they definitely get the ADB seal of approval."

DRZ 400. Australian Safari
Tony Kirby - Sidetrack Magazine

"Chain Gang supplied the rear sprockets, and a Quick look in the Parc Ferme before the event showed that the majority of riders had made the same brand choice. If we’d gone for a 45 tooth rear we’d have used the same sprocket that Tony used last year - you can’t kill a Chain Gang sprocket. Using quality gear like The Chain Gang sprocket and top of the line chain made any problems regarding this highly important area, unlikely."
